Inter-faith blood donation drive featured on national media
Our inter-faith blood donation drive jointly organised by Masjid Khalid and HOGC, graced by Member of Parliament Fatimah Lateef, was featured on Berita Harian and Suria. Our youngest donor was 16 years old, and was quoted in the National Malay newspaper, “Kita semua mengongsi darah merah yang sama” (we all have the same colour of blood, red) — regardless of race or religion, we all bleed red.
Chingay
We participated in Chingay under the WeCare Singapore Contingent, which saw a record number of 500 partners and 1000 grassroots leaders. The contingent reflected a diverse community coming together to build a stronger Singapore.
Joint Blood Donation Drive
Red is the colour of harmony–under our different skin colour, we all bleed the same red. Together with Khalid Mosque and Geylang United Temple, we partnered with Red Cross for a joint blood donation drive held at our church. Over 200 participants from various races and religions donated blood, which will help over 450 patients.

For 4 months, our volunteers mentored Primary 5 students from Changkat Primary, helping them in their studies and showing them what it means to give back to society.

Together with the MP of Marine Parade GRC, Prof. Fatimah Lateef, we participated in Mid-Autumn celebrations with clans of various dialects in our community.
Geylang Serai Light Up
We participated in the 2017 light up ceremony themed “Deepening the Kampong Spirit” to commemorate Ramadan with the Muslim community. This event also allowed both locals and tourists to appreciate the Malay culture in Singapore.
Iftar at Khalid Mosque
Iftar is a significant event for Muslims as they break fast during the month of Ramadan. We partnered with Khalid Mosque and the IRCC to distribute food to the community in Geylang Serai.
