ELECTRIC GUITAR [NEW!]

[Includes Intro to Acoustic Guitar] The electric guitar is able to lead the band in soaring highs and subtle lows, or lend crucial support in rhythm. If you never try, you’ll never know!

BASS GUITAR

The bass may not be the most prominent instrument, but with one note, it can change the entire music of the team. If you value teamwork and support above being in the limelight, sign up for the bass guitar.

DRUMS

The backbone of the band. The drums are not for the show-offs, but for those for value hard work and serving the team. If you are committed to putting in the hours and years of hard work in the background, we want you.

KEYBOARD

Have a background in classical piano (grade 2 and above)? The keyboard can bring people to the most intimate moments of worship or create lush soundscapes that enhance the entire music of the band. Put your piano skills to use today!

VOCALS

Your voice is God's very own instrument created uniquely for you. Unlock your potential and develop techniques to take your singing to the next level. Beyond the technical, the vocals class will start you on a journey to elevate your worship.

SOUND

Sound crew are heard, not seen, yet their role is extremely vital in the band. They work closely with the band to make everything sound good and run smoothly. If you are sharp, have an ear for music and a passion for technical stuff, join us!

Course Criteria

School of Music

All applicants must have started follow-up lessons.

Acoustic Guitar: Applicants are encouraged to learn G D Em C Chords beforehand.

Bass Guitar: Auditions required. Applicants must be able to play/clap to a predetermined beat.

Electric Guitar: (SOW only)

Drums: Auditions required. Applicants must be able to play/clap to a predetermined beat.

Keyboard: ABRSM Grade 2 or equivalent. Applicants must be able to play major scales in all white keys.

Vocals: Applicants must be able to sing on pitch and on time.

Sound: Applicants must like music.

Fees

$80 for Secondary School / JC Students
$120 for Poly / ITE / NSFs / Uni Students

Please note that SOM are beginner classes catered primarily for secondary school students.
Other applicants are encouraged to sign up for our School of Worship (SOW), catered for intermediate students.
